welcome friend, I’m Sarah!
I was born and raised in the Carolinas, and to be honest there was a time I thought i’d spent all my days here. then one day I got it in my head to move to Germany and do an arts program, and the rest is history. I accidentally fell in Love with my best friend- a big, burly Canadian named Taylor and we’ve been doing the real-life-love thing for six years now. Our little family has recently grown to include a chunky ‘lil nugget named Isaac and a pup named Remi.
I’m an enneagram 2w3 married to a 7w8, SO we’re always looking for best buds and adventure partners! I feel sure I was destined to live in the mountains, and marrying a guy from British colombia pretty much confirmed that for me. Our free time is often spent in the hills of the blue ridge, hiking in the woods or skinny dipping in a river somewhere tucked away (don’t bash it till you try it!) Our life was molded by a mutual love for other nations and cultures, so we travel quite a bit. sometimes it’s Europe + east africa, and some years it’s long summers in the mountains of BC where the rest of our Canadian family is.
A few other random bits of information about me- I laugh at most things, usually myself, and have definitely gotten into some awkward situations at family funerals because of it. I’m a big fan of brunch, I eat Indian food about once a week, and I married into a family with Russian heritage so I make borscht the regs. I have zero musical bones in my body, but in another life I’d like to play the mandolin. I love cooking! I seriously considered culinary school, and now just love learning to make local dishes from the different places we’ve stayed. I’m slightly obsessed with finding antique Persian rugs and I have an entire house full of mismatched fabrics from traveling. I’m a big fan advocate for stretchy pants and I’m always down for new friends and coffee!
